In the dark days, before the light of the lips had returned to Ventura County, little is known..........

Once Rocky was shown in such great theatres as The Carriage Square, The Ventura Theatre, and who could forget, The Mayfair Theatre; but the light had gone and the horrors of normality had taken control of the once quiet realms of the county....... Then, in late 97ish, a small art theatre saw the light and booked a once forgotten cult classic. The Rocky Horror Picture Show was brought back to Ventura County. On hearing this news, our director went to see the show. Upon reaching the theatre he, Dr. Shocker, discovered, much to his terror, that no cast had been formed to accompany this production. Not wishing to see the fans and virgins miss anything, the good doctor performed the entire movie solo, with an occasional warm body. Later that morning. he discussed with the management the chance to properly perform the show with a full cast. Not having any actual cast members handy, he fudged a bit on the cast collective experience, seeing as most had only seen the movie once or twice and some had never even seen it performed live. But with his own experience, Doctor Shocker knew he could offer the theatre patrons a show worth the pesos they would be shilling out. He returned to the theatre the following night with a cast pulled from the vast reaches of the county (and his little black book) and the Camarillo State Institutional Players were born. After a regular run at the theatre, things started to get rough. This, combined with poor sales, caused the theatre to reconsider their monthly showing.

Soon the cast was in search of a new home. Finding solace at the Ventura Theatre, the good doctor and his rag tag bunch decided to call it home. And with their new home, a new name would be needed since they were no longer performing in Camarillo and felt severing all ties with the theatre would be the way to proceed (hey we're petty). Seeing as how all the members at the time either worked or hung out at a coffeehouse, Dr Shocker decided their new cast name would reflect their caffinated existence.

The TooMuchCoffeeCast was born.....

With their new name a few changes were adopted. A new and improved show was completely abandoned for more reckless behavior. A more traditional show was forgotten cause, well hell, we're all screw-ups and we're damn good at it....... After some time the cast had a falling out with the Ventura Theatre (its a long story), so they became homeless once again. They tried a few shows at their old home which did not hold the same feeling. They continued their search for a place to perform which was both willing and able to house their own private vice. A lucky chance dropped Dr. Shocker on the doorstep of the Channel Island Cinemas. The once Carriage Square housed Rocky in the 80's and had just recently gone from a Spanish movie house to a second run theatre. They were not only willing but excited to allow the cast to perform. Only hitch was the theatre owner, he had to give final permission. Since he had also owned the art house they had previously resided in, a hush fell across the cast (the only time they had been quiet all at once.... ever). The theatre owner agreed and with open arms brought the cast to their new and present home in Oxnard. Now we are in the attempts to bring back our own brand of chaos to the theatre on a more regular schedule.... And we hope to see you at the next showing of
